Right after Dave left, a lot of birds started to arrive.
We only had to wait for about 15 minutes before the first game showed up: A herd of 4 wildebeest (gnu).
Then it was silent for a while, before some more birds appeared, and just before Dave came back, a warthog came to drink. It ran around for a while, rubbing itself on brances.
We spent all the rest of the morning and early afternoon planning the next couple of days. Haven't yet found out what we will do about the Victoria falls, whether we are going to land in Livingstone (Zambia) or take a bus from Kasane (Botswana). And still we haven't gotten hold on the people from Delta Flyer in Maun, who are going to clear us for landing at Ntswi airstrip in the Okavango Delta. Tomorrow is Sunday, so we will have to wait until Monday to sort it out.
In the afternoon, the other pilots went to the airstrip to check out eachothers toys. We came along, as we wanted to see whether we could do something about the door lock, which did not work properly. We had to disassemble the whole inside of the door to get to the lock. But we managed to fix the problem and successfully assembled the door again. We took pictures of each step of the disassembly to make sure that we were able to put it together again (we never used it btw. but just in case).
Afterwards I got a ride in Dave's gyrocopter (a little helicopter-like thing which has a propeller in the back and has to take off like a plane). It was a beautiful trip, we travelled very low along a dried- out river, the trees and the ground were all red from the last sun- light. We even saw a herd of zebras (first time I have seen zebras ever) with little babys as well. And a wilderbeast and some impalas.
Dinner was again wonderful and set in the garden around the fire. When it was getting cold, we got a special treat: Hot coals under our chairs. Nice!
